About

Who am I?

That is a great question! I likely would have answered this differently last year…and I’m sure next year will be different too. But here’s what you might want to know today:

I’ve been in non-profit work for almost 18 years (don’t be fooled by my babyface- and my greys are just hiding). My work has primarily been in sexual health, youth engagement, sexual violence prevention, mental health, abortion, and related sectors. I’ve been an educator, a curriculum writer, a program developer, and more. I have 8 years of senior leadership experience, with 6 years in executive director roles. I am currently an executive director of a national organization.

My leadership style is flexible, relationship focused, and strives to center my values of community, empathy, and curiosity. I’m not typically worried about how things have been done before, and enjoy exploring new opportunities. I have made many mistakes, and work to address my own accountability alongside continual learning.

I am queer/trans/non-binary, physically disabled (with an invisible muscular disease), neurodivergent, and a survivor of sexual violence. I’m also a parent of young children, in a blended family, and delighted by pretty much all animals (but particularly cats, and our silly French Bulldog).
